A classic stack chair design

The Original 40/4 stack chair, offered in joint partnership with OSI, is designed by David Rowland. It is the chair that paved the way for other high-density stack chair solutions to follow. The sleek design allows for stacking forty wood or steel chairs in a four foot envelope. The 40/4’s versatile design and outstanding durability makes it an ideal solution for training rooms, classrooms, cafeterias and many other types of environments.

Features and Benefits

The Original 40/4 is available in three options: steel, wood and upholstery, all featuring a contoured seat and back. The steel model is formed with a 3/16” rolled-rim edge offering a finished appearance and safe handling. The steel frame is constructed out of 7/16” solid rod, which is available in either a chrome plated or black powder-coat finish. To finish the unique appearance, all models feature a finished back and a TIGER Drylac powder coat to hide fingerprints.

The chair’s contour elements also deliver optimal support to the user, and all of the materials used for the Original 40/4 meet or exceed all applicable ANSI/BIFMA test standards.
